Set up GST and download tax invoices

Add your GSTIN, choose whether prices include GST, set rates and HSN codes, and get numbered PDF tax invoices with CGST, SGST or IGST worked out for you.

Your store works out GST on every order: CGST and SGST for buyers in your state, IGST for buyers elsewhere. It makes numbered PDF tax invoices for you.

1. Tax settings

  1. Open Taxes (GST).
  2. Under Registration, enter your GSTIN (15 characters), your Legal business name as on your GST certificate, and the State you are registered in (filled in from the GSTIN).
  3. Under Prices and rates, choose My prices include GST (usual in India: the price on the tag is what the customer pays) or GST is added at checkout.
  4. Choose a Default GST rate for products without their own rate, and the GST on delivery charges.
  5. Press Save tax settings. New orders use them.

2. Rates and HSN codes per product

Open a product and, under Shipping and GST, enter the HSN or SAC code and choose its GST rate. To set many at once, use the hsn and gst_rate columns in a CSV import.

3. Invoice settings

  1. Open Invoices.
  2. Under Numbering, choose a Prefix and, if you are moving from another system, Start numbering at. Numbers restart each financial year, for example INV/2026-27/0001.
  3. Under On the invoice, add your logo, address, terms and conditions, payment details (bank account or UPI ID), a signature line and a footer note.
  4. Press Save invoice settings, then Preview invoice to check.

4. Download invoices

  • On an order, press Invoice PDF. Packing slip gives a slip without prices for the parcel.
  • For many orders, tick them in Orders, choose Download invoices (PDF) or Download packing slips (PDF) from Bulk action and press Apply. You get one PDF.
  • Shoppers can download their own invoice from their order page.

Invoices are made for confirmed orders only. Reports shows the tax collected for any period, as CSV or PDF, to share with your accountant.
