Create coupons and automatic offers

Make coupon codes such as DIWALI10, and offers that apply by themselves: buy X get Y, spend more save more, and a free gift over an amount.

There are two kinds of discount. A coupon is a code the shopper types. An automatic discount applies in the bag by itself, with no code.

Create a coupon

  1. Open Coupons.
  2. Under New coupon, type a Code, for example DIWALI10 (letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores).
  3. Choose the Type: Percent off or Rupees off, and the Amount.
  4. Optionally set a Minimum order (₹), the Uses allowed and an Expires date.
  5. Press Create.

The list shows how many times each code has been used. Use Switch off to stop a code early.

Create an automatic discount

  1. Open Discounts.
  2. Choose the kind of offer:
    • Buy X, get Y: free or a percentage off, on everything, a collection or chosen products. For example "Buy 2, get 1 free".
    • Spend more, save more: by amount or by number of pieces. For example "Spend ₹2,000, get 10% off".
    • Free gift: a gift added over an amount.
  3. Give it a Name; shoppers see this in the bag.
  4. Set the details and, optionally, Starts and Ends dates.
  5. Save it.

Offers show on product pages, and the bag nudges shoppers, for example "Add ₹500 more to get 10% off". The Discounts page shows orders with an offer and how much shoppers saved. Use Turn off or Turn on beside each offer.

Coupons and offers together

Under With coupon codes, tick Let coupon codes add to automatic discounts to allow both. When it is off, a shopper with a coupon gets whichever saves them more.
