Redirect links from your old website

Moving from WordPress, Shopify or WooCommerce? Send old page addresses to your new pages so links, bookmarks and Google rankings keep working.

If you had a website before, Google and your customers know its old addresses, such as /product/silk-saree. Redirects send anyone who visits an old address to the right new page, with a permanent (301) redirect, so links and rankings carry over.

Add one redirect

  1. Open Redirects (under Settings).
  2. Under Add a redirect, type the Old address: a path such as /product/silk-saree, or the full old URL.
  3. Type the New address: a page on this store (for example /p/kanchi-silk-saree) or a full https:// address.
  4. Press Add redirect.

Add many at once

  1. Under Add many at once, paste one redirect per line, old then new, separated by a comma. For example: /shop/saree-123, /p/kanchi-silk-saree
  2. Press Add these redirects.

Finding your old addresses

  • Your old platform's product export or sitemap usually lists every page address.
  • Google Search Console shows which old pages get the most visits. Do those first.
  • Your new product addresses are /p/ followed by the product's web address, which you can see on each product's page in the dashboard.

How redirects behave

Redirects are only used when an address is not found on your store, so they never hide a real page. The list shows how many times each redirect has been used, which tells you which old links still bring visitors. Press Delete to remove one.

Renamed a product and changed its web address? Add a redirect from the old address too.

Point your domain at your new store first; see connect your own domain. Products can be moved across with a CSV import.
