To help you see your theme at its best, a new store is filled with the theme's sample products and text. Shoppers can see these too, so replace them before you share your store link.
1. Products
- Open Products.
- For each sample, either open it and change the name, description, price and photos to one of yours, or remove it.
- To remove several at once, tick them in the list, choose Delete from Bulk action and press Apply. You can also choose Hide from store to keep them out of sight while you work.
Have many products already in a spreadsheet? Import them from a CSV instead of typing them in.
2. Homepage
- Open Homepage.
- Change the headline and text to describe your business, upload your own photos, and choose which sections show.
- Press Save homepage.
3. Pages and journal
Open Pages and Journal. Sample items are marked Sample in the list. Rewrite them in your own words, or delete the ones you do not need.
4. Collections
Open Collections and rename or remove the sample collections so they match how you group your own products, for example "Silk sarees" or "Festive sweets".
5. Check your contact details and policies
Make sure Store settings has your phone, WhatsApp, email and address. Your standard policy pages (shipping, returns, refunds, privacy and terms) fill these in automatically. You can rewrite any of them in Policies.
Use View store links in the dashboard to check how each change looks to shoppers, on your phone as well as a computer.
