When a product comes in several sizes, colours or weights, add them as options on one product rather than making a separate product for each. Shoppers choose from the product page, and each combination (a variant) can have its own price and stock.
Add options
- Open the product in Products, or start a new one.
- Find Options and variants. You can add up to three options.
- In Option 1, type the option name, for example
Size. In Values, type the choices separated by commas, for exampleS, M, L, XL. - Add Option 2 (for example
ColourwithRed, Blue) and Option 3 if you need them. - Press Save changes (or Add product). The variants are built from every combination of the values.
Set each variant's price and stock
After saving, a table lists every variant, such as "M / Red". For each one you can set:
- Price (₹) and Was (₹)
- Stock: leave empty if you do not count it
- SKU
- Photo: pick which of the product's photos shows when that variant is chosen
To set the same price or stock on every variant at once, use Fill all above the table, then save. The product's main Price (₹) is used for any new variants you add later.
Changing options later
Add a value (for example XXL) to the Values box and save: a new variant appears in the table. Remove a value and save: that variant is removed. Past orders keep their details.
How shoppers see options
Options show as dropdowns on product cards, the product page and in the bag. In Store features you can switch on colour swatches and size buttons instead, with sold-out choices crossed out, and let shoppers ask to be emailed when a sold-out option is back.
