Where to find us near Hall Bazaar, how long to allow, and what we will show you.

The kothi is a narrow, high-ceilinged room in Katra Jaimal Singh, a short walk from Hall Bazaar and about fifteen minutes on foot from the Golden Temple. Most autos know the street. If you are driving, park at the Hall Gate multi-level parking; the lanes here are too narrow for cars.
You do not need an appointment. Come in, sit on the bench by the window, and tell us who the shawl is for. Someone will bring tea. We will open shawls on the long teak counter, one after another, and hold them to the window so you see the colour in daylight. Allow forty minutes if you are choosing for yourself, longer for wedding gifts.
There is no pressure to buy, and many people come back the next day after thinking it over. We can keep a shawl aside for 48 hours.
We accept UPI, cards and cash. If you are visiting from abroad, we can post your shawls home so you do not carry them. In December and January the kothi is busiest from 5 to 8 pm, when families shop after work. The quietest hours are weekday mornings, from 10.30 to 1, when the light by the window is also at its best.
