How the free 20-minute call works, what to keep ready and how to see true colour on a phone screen.

Most first-time customers are a little unsure about choosing a silk saree on a phone. The video call is designed to make it feel as close as possible to standing at our counter on Cross Cut Road. Here is how a typical call goes.
You book a slot on the site and choose a language: Tamil, English, Malayalam or Hindi. A few hours before, our stylist, usually Revathi or Gowri, sends a WhatsApp message asking about the occasion, your budget and any colours you already have in mind. That lets her pull eight to ten sarees before the call starts.
On the call, she shows each saree in daylight by the shop’s north window, not under tube lights, because silk changes colour under artificial light. She unfolds the pallu, holds the border against the body and drapes the ones you like on a mannequin. Ask to see the back of the border; she will gladly show the korvai joint or the zari close up.
To see colour correctly, turn off night mode and blue-light filters on your phone and sit near a window yourself. If you have jewellery or a blouse you want to match, keep it beside you and hold it up. Calls last 20 minutes, and you can ask for a second one at no cost. There is no pressure to buy on the call. If you decide later, the sarees you liked stay reserved for 48 hours, with photos sent to your WhatsApp.
