How a juice-week bottle reaches your door by 7 am

Pressing starts at 5.45, bottles are sealed by 6.20 and the riders leave at 6.30. The early hours behind our weekly delivery.

About 140 households in Vizag get a bottle of juice from us every morning, six days a week. Most customers only see the bottle on the doorstep. Here is what happens before it gets there.

Srinivas is at the Rythu Bazaar by 5.30 am, but the juice-week fruit is bought the evening before, so pressing can start early. At 5.45 Ravi and Kumari wash the apples, beetroot, carrots and oranges in two changes of water and begin pressing. ABC juice is the biggest order, about 70 bottles a day, so it goes first. Each juice is pressed in small runs of ten bottles and poured straight into clean glass, never held in a jug.

The bottles are capped, labelled with the customer’s name and the time of pressing, and packed into cool boxes with ice packs, sorted by route. There are three routes: MVP Colony and Siripuram, Dwaraka Nagar and Seethammadhara, and the beach road stretch towards Rushikonda. By 6.30 the riders leave, and the last bottle is usually delivered by 7.10.

When the rider drops a fresh bottle, he picks up yesterday’s empty one, and we credit ₹10 to your account. Returned bottles go through a hot wash and a rinse before they are used again. If you are travelling, send a message by 9 pm the night before and we will skip the next day without charge.
