How to find us in Tupudana, what to wear, and what happens on a Saturday morning.

The forge is in the Tupudana Industrial Area, south of Hatia, about 30 minutes by car from Firayalal Chowk. Turn in at the gate after the water tank and follow the smell of coal smoke to Plot 14. Parking is on the gravel outside.
Saturday visits run from 8 to 11 am. Please send a WhatsApp message the day before so we know how many to expect; we keep groups to twelve. It is free.
Wear closed shoes and cotton clothes. Synthetic fabric and sparks do not mix. Children are welcome but must stay behind the rail while the forge is lit, and under ten they must hold an adult’s hand.
You will watch a blade being forged and hardened, then come to the bench to try our knives on onions, tomatoes and paper. If you bring your own knives, we will sharpen two per person for free while you watch, and show you how to do it yourself.
There is chai and a plate of local snacks. Knives are on a table if you want to buy, but there is no obligation. The forge closes for the season in the hottest weeks of May and reopens in June. If it rains heavily, the forge still runs: it is under a roof.
