Your homepage is the first thing most shoppers see. Your menus help them find their way.
Edit the homepage
- Open Homepage (under Content).
- Choose which sections show and in what order, and change what each one says: the headline, short text, buttons and photos.
- Upload your own photos in place of the sample ones.
- Press Save homepage, then View homepage to check it on a computer and a phone.
Writing your homepage headline is one of the steps in Get your store ready on the dashboard. Say plainly what you sell and where, for example "Handwoven Kanchipuram silks from Coimbatore".
Set your menus
Your store starts with automatic menus built from your pages and collections. To set your own:
- Open Menus.
- Under Header menu, add up to 7 links. On phones they open from the menu button.
- Under Footer links, add up to 10 links. They appear under "Explore".
- For each link, type a Label and the Link. Links you can use lists your pages and collections to copy from.
- Use the arrows to change the order, and the cross to remove a link.
- Press Save menus.
To go back to the automatic menus, press Use automatic menus.
Collections in menus
Collections group your products, such as "Silk sarees" or "Gift boxes". Create them in Collections with Add a collection, then link to them from your menu.
Your policy pages are linked from every footer automatically, so you do not need to add them to your menus.
