Who we are
Ground slowly, between two stones.
The chakki starts at 6 am. Grain is cleaned, weighed for each order and fed in by hand. The stones turn at about a third of a roller mill’s speed, so the flour comes out warm, never hot. Orders are bagged by noon and on the van by 3.
Sharbati atta, chana besan and millet flours, milled on a stone chakki the morning you order them. Bring wheat or millet from home and we grind it on the stones while you wait, from ₹6 a kilo. Mornings, 7 to 11, every day except Sunday.

What we stand for
Three things we will not change
Ground to order
We do not keep milled flour on the shelf. Grain is stored whole and ground after you order it.
Named farms
Our wheat comes from three families near Sehore, and the bag says which farm this month’s wheat came from.
Nothing taken out
Our atta is whole. We do not sift out the bran or add anything to whiten or soften it.

Bring your own grain and watch it ground.
Bring wheat or millet from home and we grind it on the stones while you wait, from ₹6 a kilo. Mornings, 7 to 11, every day except Sunday.

Ramprasad Joshi sets up a single stone chakki near Sanyogitaganj and grinds wheat that neighbours bring in steel dabbas.

Buying wheat from Sehore

A second set of stones

What customers say

The rotis stay soft in my son’s tiffin till lunch. I order the 10 kg bag every five weeks.
Their besan smells roasted when you open the bag. My sev has never been this crisp.
I live in Pune and still get my atta from here. The milling date is always three or four days before it arrives.

A short WhatsApp note each Monday: the new wheat, the millets in stock, the winter flours.
