Our two busiest months are October and December, when Diwali and Christmas send people looking for something to give that is not another box of sweets. Here is how we would choose.
For a host, the three-candle gift box works almost every time. Three small tins, our three Goa scents, and nobody has to like a single fragrance. For a close friend or family, choose one 200 g candle in the scent you think suits them, and add a pair of beeswax tapers for the dinner table.
For someone who already has candles, a reed diffuser or a box of hand-rolled incense is a better choice. Diffusers suit people who are out all day or who keep pets, since there is no flame. For a home with a small prayer corner, our incense cones and a beeswax pillar make a quiet, useful gift. The festive lights set is our largest gift: a candle, tapers, incense and a brass holder in a mango-wood box that can be used again for jewellery or spices.
For Diwali, order by 20 October for delivery anywhere in India. For Christmas, order by 10 December. We write your message on a card by hand at no cost and can ship directly to the person, with no price inside. For 25 or more gift boxes, for a wedding or an office, write to us three weeks ahead.
