Who we are
Light something slow.
We pour in a converted Portuguese-era house in Assagao. Wax is melted in small batches, scent is weighed to the gram, and every candle cures on wooden racks for two weeks before it is labelled by hand.
Soy and beeswax candles, diffusers and incense, poured in small batches in our studio among the cashew trees. Two and a half hours at the studio: blend a scent, pour two candles, take them home. Eight seats each week, with tea and Goan snacks.

Three things we will not change
Small batches
We pour 40 candles at a time, so the scent and the wick can be checked on every one.
Plain materials
Soy and beeswax, cotton and wood wicks, glass and tins that can be reused. No paraffin in our candles.
Scents of a place
Every blend starts from something in North Goa: the monsoon, cashew season, a church on a feast day.

Joanita poured her first soy candles in her Panaji flat, in old coffee jars, and sold them at the Saturday night market in Arpora.

The house in Assagao
We rented a small Portuguese-era house on Badem Church Road and turned its back rooms into a pouring studio with wooden curing racks.

Beeswax, incense and the first workshop
Beeswax from Western Ghats honey collectors joined the range, Ravi began rolling incense, and the first Saturday workshop had six people.

We pour twice a week, ship across India, and host a workshop every Saturday afternoon. The coffee jars are now amber glass.
