Wax, smoke and evening light
The pouring table, the curing racks, a match struck at dusk. A few photographs from the studio in Assagao and the homes our candles go to.

Forty candles at a time, in an old house among cashew trees.
We pour in a converted Portuguese-era house in Assagao. Wax is melted in small batches, scent is weighed to the gram, and every candle cures on wooden racks for two weeks before it is labelled by hand.
