Everything customers ask Nandini Point Surf most. Can’t find yours? Message us.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
You need to be comfortable in the sea and able to swim about 25 metres. Beginners stay in waist-deep water with a leash and a soft board, but you should not be afraid to put your face in the water.
When is the best time of year?
October to May. November to February has the cleanest small waves for beginners. From June to September the monsoon sea is too rough and we close.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, a towel, a change of clothes and water. We provide the board, leash, rash vest and reef-safe sunscreen. Leave jewellery at home.
What if the sea is too rough on my day?
We decide by 7 pm the evening before and message you. You can move to another day free, or take a fitness class or river paddle instead.
Is there an age limit?
Kids’ camps are for ages 8 to 14. Group lessons start at 12; younger children can learn in a private or family lesson. Our oldest beginner so far was 68.
