What it costs to light a living and dining room

A pendant, two lamps, a sconce and installation: a sample budget for a typical Mumbai 2BHK, from ₹20,000.

Customers often ask us for a rough idea of cost before they book a visit. Every home is different, but here is what we usually suggest for the living and dining area of a typical 2BHK in Mumbai, around 300 square feet, with prices from our current range.

Over the dining table, a tiered cane pendant at ₹7,800 gives a warm glow and a pattern on the ceiling. In the living area, a turned teak table lamp beside the sofa at ₹6,200 provides reading light. A scroll brass wall sconce at ₹5,400 lights a corner or a painting. That comes to ₹19,400, with warm 2700K bulbs included in each piece.

Installation is free for orders above ₹15,000 in Mumbai, so this plan needs no extra fitting charge. If you want the pendant on a dimmer, add ₹950 for an LED-compatible dimmer switch, fitted at the same time. The total is about ₹20,350.

For a fuller plan, add a brass tripod floor lamp at ₹16,800 behind a reading chair and a pair of spiral filament bulbs at ₹1,150 for an existing fitting, bringing the total to around ₹38,000. For a smaller budget, start with the pendant and one table lamp, about ₹14,000 plus ₹1,200 for installing two points. We would rather you buy two pieces you love now and add a third next year than fill every point at once. Prices include GST and delivery in Mumbai.
