What happens in the 30 minutes, what to bring, and how the written quote works.

A framing visit takes about 30 minutes in the workshop at the back of the gallery. It is free and there is no obligation. Book a time on WhatsApp so a framer is free to sit with you.
Bring the work flat if you can, between two pieces of card, with no tape on the front. If it is a textile, bring it folded in a cotton cloth and tell us if it has any loose threads. If you cannot bring a large canvas, send a photograph and measurements, and we can visit in Puducherry.
We will lay the work on the table by the courtyard window and look at it together. We usually hold three or four corner samples of moulding against it, then mount colours, then talk about glass. You will see each option in daylight and in the warmer light of the gallery.
Before you leave, we write down your choices, the size, the price and the ready date, and give you a copy. Pay half to begin and the rest when you collect. Framing takes 7 to 21 days depending on the frame. We will send a photograph when it is finished, and in Puducherry we deliver and hang it for free.
