Questions and answers
Everything customers ask Vellai Suvar Gallery most. Can’t find yours? Message us.
Do you frame work bought elsewhere?
Yes. Most of our framing is for paintings, prints, photographs and textiles that customers bring in. Come for a free visit and we give you a written price.
How long does framing take?
Plain frames take 7 days, made-to-size teak and gilt frames 10 days, and textile shadow boxes about 3 weeks. Small posters can be done while you wait.
Can I see a painting at home before buying?
In Puducherry, yes. We bring up to three works to your home for an evening, free. Elsewhere, we send photographs of the work on a wall with a scale.
How do you ship large works?
Canvases over 75 cm travel in a wooden crate with corner guards, by an insured art courier, in 5–8 days. Crating costs ₹2,500 to ₹6,000.
Can I pay in instalments?
For originals above ₹50,000 you can pay in three monthly parts by UPI or bank transfer. The work stays with us until the last payment.
How do I pay?
UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and wallets through Razorpay, or cash on delivery on eligible orders.
How do I track my order?
You get a WhatsApp message with the tracking link as soon as your order ships.
