A table runner 35 × 180 cm and six napkins 45 cm square, all in heavy cotton indigo dabu with a narrow border. The napkins have mitred corners, finished by our tailor. Wash cold and iron while damp.

The kurta fabric smells faintly of earth when it arrives. After six washes the blue is still deep and the leaves are softer.
We did the workshop session as a family. Printing our own stole and pulling it out green, then watching it turn blue, was something the children talk about.
