Battery, strap, gasket, glass and full service: our usual prices, and why some repairs cost more.

Customers often hesitate to bring in a watch because they do not know what it will cost. Here are the prices we charge most often, so you can plan before you walk in. Every job still gets a written estimate first.
Battery changes are free for life on watches bought from us, and ₹250 to ₹450 on others, depending on the cell. A new strap is fitted at cost; leather starts at ₹650 and steel bracelets at ₹1,400. Replacing a gasket costs ₹500 and takes a day. A new mineral glass costs ₹600 to ₹900, and a sapphire crystal from ₹2,800, as it often has to be ordered.
A full service on a quartz watch starts at ₹1,800 and includes cleaning the movement, replacing the coil if needed and a water test. A full service on an automatic starts at ₹3,500. Chronographs start at ₹6,500 because they have many more parts.
The bill rises when parts are worn or missing. A new mainspring adds ₹700 to ₹1,200. For older watches, a broken balance staff or wheel sometimes has to be made by hand, which can add ₹2,000 to ₹5,000 and two more weeks. If a repair would cost more than the watch is worth to you, we say so plainly. Sometimes a smaller fix, such as a clean and a new crown, gets it running for years at a third of the price.
