Hydrating facial or face sculpt: which one to book

Our two most booked face treatments feel quite different. What happens in each, who usually chooses which, and when to book both.

Two treatments make up more than half our face bookings: the signature hydrating facial and the face sculpt massage. Guests often ask which to choose. They do different things, and the right one depends on what you want from the hour.

The hydrating facial, 75 minutes for ₹3,200, is a full skincare treatment. It includes a double cleanse, a skin check, warm steam, gentle extractions only where needed, a hydrating mask and a face and shoulder massage. It suits skin that feels dry, dull or tight, especially after travel, air-conditioned offices or the dry months. Your skin may look a little pink for an hour afterwards, so avoid booking it right before an event.

The face sculpt massage, 50 minutes for ₹2,400, involves no steam and no extractions. Your therapist uses her hands and a bronze kansa wand with light oil, working slowly along the jaw, cheekbones, brow and neck. It is a massage first, and many guests book it to release tension from a long week at a screen or from clenching the jaw. It leaves no redness, which is why it is popular in the days before a wedding or a photo shoot.

If you are new to us, start with the hydrating facial, which includes the full skin check. If you already have a routine you like and want an hour to unwind, book the sculpt. Many regulars alternate them, one every three to four weeks.
