No, a facial will not make you fairer
Many guests still ask for a facial to lighten their skin. Why we do not offer that, and what a facial can honestly do.

Fresh linen, wiped surfaces, sealed tools and a pause for air. What our therapists do in the gap between two bookings.

Every booking at Kaluva ends 15 minutes before the next one starts. Guests sometimes ask why we do not fit in one more treatment a day. The answer is the room. Here is what happens in that quarter of an hour.
As soon as a guest leaves, the therapist strips the treatment bed: sheets, blanket, face cradle cover and towels all go into a laundry bag. Nothing is reused between guests, even if it looks unused. Our laundry is done by a service in Banjara Hills at 90 °C and returns sealed in packs.
Next, every surface the guest or therapist touched is wiped with disinfectant: the bed frame, the trolley, the steamer, door handles and the light switch. Used metal tools, such as extraction tools and the kansa wand, go into a closed tray for cleaning and sterilising in the back room. A fresh set comes out still sealed in its pouch, and it is opened in front of the next guest. Single-use items, such as cotton pads, spatulas and sheet masks, go straight into the bin.
Then the room is aired for a few minutes, the lights are dimmed again, fresh linen goes on the bed and a clean towel is warmed. The therapist washes her hands and changes her apron. Swathi checks one room at random every day against a short list. It is not glamorous, but it is the part of our work we are most careful about.
