Who we are
Leather footwear stitched by hand, sized for Indian feet.
Pagdandi began in 1994 when Shankar Kadam moved his Kolhapuri bench from Kolhapur to Pune. Today his sons and 12 karigars make every pair by hand, and we still resole shoes we sold twenty years ago.
Kolhapuris, loafers and Goodyear-welted shoes made by 14 karigars, cut on wider lasts so they fit from the first day. We measure length and width on both feet, free, in five minutes. Most people are a half size off what they usually buy.

What we stand for
Three things we will not change
Stitched, not glued
Every sole is stitched to the upper, so a worn pair can be resoled instead of thrown away.
Indian lasts
Our lasts are wider across the toes and higher at the instep, shaped on the feet of our customers.
Honest leather
We name the hide and the tannage on every pair: buffalo, goat or calf; bark or chrome-free.

Reviews
What customers say
Sample reviews, written for this demo. Real customer reviews replace them on your store.
I have wide feet and have never bought shoes that did not hurt. The wide-fit loafer was comfortable on day one.
They resoled my father’s twelve-year-old derbies. They look better than mine.
My Kolhapuris were stiff for a week, exactly as they warned me, and now they are the best sandals I own.
Old pair worn through? We will resole it.
