Who we are
Millets the way our grandmothers bought them: unpolished.
Navane started in 2017 with one farmer group in Hiriyur and a stone huller in a Mysuru garage. We now buy from 140 families in Chitradurga and Tumakuru at a fixed price agreed before sowing, so a good year for the market is a good year for them too.
Foxtail, kodo, little millet and ragi from farmer groups in Chitradurga and Tumakuru, cleaned and packed in Mysuru within a month of harvest. Our starter box has 1 kg each of foxtail, kodo, little, barnyard and browntop millet, with a recipe card for each.

What we stand for
Three things we will not change
Unpolished
Polishing removes the bran, which is most of the reason to eat millets. We never polish.
Fair, fixed prices
We agree a price with each farmer group before sowing and pay it whatever the market does.
Short labels
Our mixes contain grains, pulses and spices. No maida, soda, colour or preservatives.

Five millets, one box, a month of meals.

What customers say

The fresh kodo dosa batter has replaced rice batter in our house. My children did not notice for a month.
I like that the harvest month is on the pack. The foxtail cooks soft every time.
The granola is not too sweet, which is rare. I order two packs a month.
A millet recipe every Sunday.
