Who we are
Bags made from one hide, stitched to carry for decades.
Kolkata has tanned leather for more than a century. Our founder Imtiaz chose hides for export houses for 22 years before opening his own bench in 2014. He still picks every hide by hand, and six craftsmen cut and stitch every bag.
Full-grain buffalo and goat leather from Kolkata tanneries, cut and saddle-stitched by six craftsmen in our Topsia workshop. Our tan weekender carries clothes for four days and fits in the overhead locker. Visit the store on Free School Street to see it in person.

One hide, chosen by hand
Imtiaz selects every hide at the tannery; nothing comes to us from a catalogue.
Stitched to last
Two needles and waxed linen thread: if one stitch breaks, the rest hold.
Repaired, not replaced
We restitch, re-edge and replace straps free on any bag we have made.
Packing for a long weekend? The duffel holds four days.
