Delivery times to RS Puram, Peelamedu and Saravanampatti, and how to carry a cake home yourself in the heat.

We deliver cakes across Coimbatore in a chilled box for ₹80, and we also see many customers pick up from our kitchen on NSR Road. Either way, the trip is where a cake is most at risk, so it helps to know what to expect.
From Saibaba Colony, RS Puram and Gandhipuram are usually 15 to 20 minutes away. Peelamedu and the Avinashi Road side take 30 to 40 minutes, and Saravanampatti or Kovaipudur can take close to an hour in the evening. We plan routes so the farthest deliveries go first in each 2-hour slot, and the cake stays in the chilled box until it reaches your door.
If you collect the cake yourself, bring a car if you can, and switch on the air-conditioning ten minutes before you load the box. Place the cake flat on the floor of the car, behind the front passenger seat, not on a seat, which slopes and bounces. Two-wheeler pickups are fine for cookies and loaves but not for cream cakes; a 1 kg cream cake on a lap in the afternoon sun begins to soften in about fifteen minutes.
Once home, put the cake straight into the fridge in its box. Take it out 20 minutes before cutting. For a party in a hall or on a terrace, keep the cake indoors until the moment it is needed. If you are driving to Tiruppur or Mettupalayam, tell us when you order. We will chill the cake extra hard and pack it with ice gel packs around the box.
