Who we are
Walk into the high country.
Tsokar Trails is run by three brothers who grew up in Skiu village in the Markha valley, carrying loads for trekkers. Since 2009 we have led over 4,000 people across Ladakh’s passes with our own ponies, cooks and tents.
Small-group treks, 6,000 m climbs and tented camps, led by guides born in these valleys. Our cooks walk with every group. Ask about the food we carry and how we cook it at altitude.

What we stand for
Three things we will not change
Slow up high
Every trip starts with two rest days in Leh, and our itineraries climb no more than 500 m of sleeping height a day.
Local hands
Guides, cooks and pony men come from the villages we walk through, and are paid through the winter.
Leave it clean
We carry all rubbish back to Leh and use toilet tents with pits we fill in before leaving.

Butter tea at 4,800 m tastes better.
Our cooks walk with every group. Ask about the food we carry and how we cook it at altitude.
Visit or call usChoose a trek

Get ready

What customers say
Sample reviews, written for this demo. Real customer reviews replace them on your store.
Our guide noticed my headache before I did and changed the plan quietly. I crossed Kongmaru La the next day.
The cook made fresh bread at 4,500 m. Ten days on the trail and not one repeated dinner.
We saw a snow leopard on day five, through the spotter’s scope, for twenty minutes. I still cannot believe it.
