Ordering ghee and pedas for Diwali
Dates, quantities and how to plan gift boxes so they arrive before Dhanteras.
Diwali is our busiest month by far. Families order ghee for the sweets they make at home, and businesses order gift boxes for staff and clients. Because ghee takes two days from milk to jar, we cannot simply make more in the last week.
Orders for Diwali gift boxes close ten days before the festival. For 2026 that means the last date is 29 October. We pack boxes in the order they come in, so earlier orders also ship earlier. Courier companies slow down in the last week before Diwali, so anything going outside Gujarat should be ordered by 20 October.
Pedas are made fresh every day in the festival week, but kesar peda keeps eight days and thabdi ten, so you can order them a week ahead. Shrikhand and rasmalai are Rajkot-only and must be ordered for a specific day.
For corporate orders over 25 boxes, send us your list on WhatsApp with names and addresses in a spreadsheet. We print a card with your message for each box at no extra cost. For home cooks, a rough guide: a kilo of ghee makes about four kilos of mohanthal or ghughra, so plan from what you mean to make.
