Smelling jars, a ten-minute skin chat and samples to take home: what happens when you walk in for the first time.

Our shop on Thadagam Road is small: one room with wooden shelves, a long counter and a window into the workroom where we make every batch. Many people come in for the first time not knowing what to buy, and that is how we like it.
Most visits start at the tester table. Every product we make is open there with a clean spatula, so you can smell it, feel the texture on the back of your hand and see the colour. Saffron, vetiver and rose smell very different in a jar than you might expect from a description online.
If you would like help, one of us will sit with you for about ten minutes and ask simple questions: how your skin feels by midday, what you use now, whether anything has irritated you before, and what you want to change. We are not doctors and do not diagnose skin conditions. If something sounds like it needs medical advice, such as a rash that will not settle, we will say so and suggest you see a dermatologist first.
You leave with up to three samples, written instructions for a patch test, and a card with the batch numbers. There is no pressure to buy that day. The skin quiz kit, five samples for ₹199, is adjusted against your first order. The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm, and weekday mornings are quietest. On Wednesdays you can usually watch a batch being made through the workroom window.
