Twenty-four hours, one small patch of skin, and a simple way to avoid a reaction.

Natural does not mean everyone’s skin will agree with it. Saffron, turmeric, essential oils and even coconut oil can irritate some people. A patch test takes a day and a few drops, and it is the most useful habit you can build before trying anything new.
Wash a small area on the inside of your forearm or just behind your ear with plain water and pat it dry. Apply a small amount of the product, about the size of a five-rupee coin, and leave it. Do not wash it off. Check the spot after a few hours and again after 24 hours.
A little warmth or a faint yellow tint from turmeric is normal. Redness, itching, small bumps or a burning feeling are not. If you notice any of these, wash the area with cool water and do not use the product on your face. Send us a photo on WhatsApp if you are unsure; we answer within a working day.
If you are trying more than one product, test them on different days, not together. That way, if something does react, you know which one it was. And repeat the test if you change from one batch of an oil to a new season’s batch; natural ingredients vary.
