How we write a free show plan in one day

What happens between your WhatsApp message and the plan that comes back: the questions, the sketch and the firing order.

Every order over ₹3,000 comes with a free show plan, and we promise it within a day. Customers sometimes wonder what goes into it. Here is the process at our South Masi Street office, step by step.

It begins with your message. We ask for four things: your budget, the date, a rough size of the space and a photo or two of it, taken looking up. The photo looking up matters most. It shows us trees, cables, sunshades and neighbouring roofs that a measurement alone would miss.

Karthik or Meena then sketches the space on squared paper. They mark the firing spot, a line 15 or 25 m away for the audience depending on the cakes, and the direction of the evening breeze, which in Madurai in October usually comes from the north-east. If the space is too small for the cakes you asked about, the plan says so and suggests smaller ones.

Next comes the firing order. We arrange the items so the show builds: something light to open, the larger cakes in the middle with a short gap between them, and the brightest cake last. Each line lists the item, how long it runs from our test notes and a pause before the next. A ₹7,500 show usually comes to about 14 minutes. The plan arrives on WhatsApp as a single page you can print. It also lists the essentials to keep ready: two buckets, a long agarbatti, a torch and one adult who will not be drinking. We revise it free if your venue changes.
