Study spots and quiet corners around Vijayawada

Libraries, reading rooms and open spaces in Vijayawada where students can study, revise or take a break.

Many of our students live in busy homes or shared hostel rooms, and finding a quiet place to study for three hours is not easy. Here are some places in and around Vijayawada that our students have found useful.

Our own centre is the first option. The reading hall on the second floor, with 40 desks, fans and drinking water, is open to enrolled students from 7 am to 8.30 pm, and on Sunday mornings. Phones are kept on silent and conversations happen outside. The doubt desk is next door from 5 pm, so you can ask a question and go straight back to your desk.

The city has several public and private reading rooms and libraries, some of which charge a small monthly fee for a reserved seat. Students preparing for competitive exams often use them, so the atmosphere is serious and quiet. Visit at the time you usually study before paying, to check the light, the noise and the crowd.

Breaks matter too. An evening walk along the Prakasam Barrage, with the Krishna river wide on both sides, clears the head better than scrolling a phone. Gandhi Hill is a good place for a short climb and a view of the city. On holidays, a boat trip to Bhavani Island is a good family outing after a long test week. Wherever you study, keep the same place and time each day; the habit helps more than the setting.
