What customers see on a plant visit, from stamping to the test bench, and how to arrange one.

Many customers visit us before placing a first large order, or when they want to understand how a motor is made before writing a specification. We welcome visits on weekdays, and this is what you will see.
We are in J-block of MIDC Bhosari, about 20 minutes from Pune railway station outside rush hour and 30 minutes from Pune airport. Visitors sign in at the gate and are given safety shoes and glasses; please wear full-length trousers and closed shoes. Photography is allowed except in the winding bay, out of respect for customers’ special designs.
The visit starts at the press shop, where electrical steel sheet is stamped into stator and rotor laminations and stacked into cores. Next is the winding bay, where coils are wound and inserted by hand, then the varnish and oven line. In the machine shop, frames, shafts and end shields are turned and bored. Assembly brings it all together, and the tour ends at the test bench, where every motor is run on no-load and load, with current, speed, temperature rise and vibration logged.
A visit takes about two hours, followed by a meeting with our sales engineers and, if you like, lunch in our canteen. Larger groups, such as engineering students or a plant’s maintenance team, can be arranged with a week’s notice. Pimpri and Chinchwad are full of suppliers and plants, and many visitors combine our works with others in the area the same day.
