Who we are
Each bronze begins as wax, and is cast only once.
Mezhugu means wax. Every piece starts as a beeswax model, is coated in Cauvery clay, and the wax is melted out before the metal goes in. The mould is broken to free the bronze, so no two are the same. Eleven sthapathis work with us in Swamimalai.
Nataraja, Lakshmi and Ganesha, modelled in beeswax, cast in panchaloha and finished by hand by our sthapathis on the banks of the Cauvery. Send us a size, a form and a photo of the space. Our sthapathi sketches it, and you approve the wax before we cast.

What we stand for
Three things we will not change
One of one
The clay mould is broken to release each bronze, so every piece is unique.
Named makers
Each bill names the sthapathi who modelled the wax and finished the metal.
Agama proportions
Forms follow the traditional measures of the Shilpa Shastras, checked by our senior sthapathi.

We commissioned a 30 inch Nataraja for our dance school. Seeing the wax model on video before casting made all the difference.
The Lakshmi is tiny but heavy, and the detail on her face is beautiful.
Shipped to Singapore in a wooden crate with the bill of weights. Arrived perfect.
New castings from the foundry.
Photos of each new bronze, before it is listed. About twice a month.
