Questions, tests and a plan. Here is the hour, minute by minute.

A first visit at Chalan lasts about an hour, and most of it is spent understanding your problem before treating it.
We start with questions: where it hurts, when it started, what makes it better or worse, your work, your sport and your sleep. We also ask about your general health and any scans or reports, so please bring them.
Then we look at how you move. You may be asked to bend, squat, walk, balance or lift your arms while we watch. We test strength, flexibility and sometimes nerve signs, such as tingling or numbness. Wear clothes you can move in.
Next, we explain what we think is happening, using a model or a drawing if it helps. If anything suggests you need a doctor first, we tell you and write a referral note.
If treatment is suitable, we begin: often some hands-on work and two or three exercises. You leave with the exercises written down and filmed on your phone, and an estimate of how many sessions you may need.
The last few minutes are for your questions. There is no such thing as a silly one.
