Who we are
Twenty-two rooms on a quiet beach at the mouth of a river.
The Fernandes family opened Talpona Sands in 2009 with six cottages on their coconut grove. We have grown to 22 rooms, but kept the trees, the low roofs and the quiet. Most of our 48 staff live in Canacona.
Cottages, sea-view rooms and pool villas behind the dunes at Talpona, with a Goan kitchen, kayaks and nothing loud after 10 pm. The pool opens at 7 am and closes at 8 pm. Towels, loungers and fresh lime soda are on us.

What we stand for
Three things we will not change
Quiet beach, quiet resort
No loud music, no jet skis and lights low after 10 pm, so the beach stays dark for nesting turtles.
Goan kitchen
Fish from the boats that land on our beach at 7 am, and recipes from Mrs Fernandes’s notebook.
Local first
Most of our team, boatmen and suppliers are from Canacona, and we pay above the going rate.

A pool between the palms, and the sea a minute away.
The pool opens at 7 am and closes at 8 pm. Towels, loungers and fresh lime soda are on us.

What customers say
Sample reviews, written for this demo. Real customer reviews replace them on your store.
We booked a pool villa for our anniversary. They left a plum cake and a handwritten card, and the beach was almost empty.
The kayak trip up the river was lovely, and our 11-year-old paddled the whole way.
Fish curry rice at lunch every day for a week. I would come back for the kitchen alone.
