The studio
Lakshmi trained as a potter at a studio near Auroville and opened Suduman in 2016 in an old Tamil house in White Town. Four potters now throw, trim and glaze every piece here, and fire the kilns every second week.

Yes. Everything is stoneware fired to 1,260°C with lead-free glazes. It is safe in the microwave and dishwasher, but not on a direct flame.
