After dark at Mehtab Chowk
Courtyards under lanterns, the rooftop at dusk, the lawn by the water and the rooms waiting for guests, photographed through a wedding season.

Built for a merchant family, restored room by room.
Mehtab Chowk was built around 1790 by a family of cloth merchants on the slope above Gangaur Ghat. We spent eleven years restoring it with lime plaster, local masons and the original carvings, and opened it for weddings in 2016.
