From Navratri to Diwali, demand for cartons doubles. When to order, how much to stock and what to agree early.

Every year, from the middle of September until Diwali, our order book roughly doubles. Sweet makers, dry fruit traders, garment exporters and online sellers all need more boxes at the same time, and kraft paper prices often rise. Planning six to eight weeks ahead makes the season much calmer.
Start with last year’s numbers. Look at how many boxes you used in October and November, add your expected growth and allow an extra 10 per cent for damage and last-minute orders. Share this forecast with us by the end of August, even if you place orders in stages.
Agree the paper and price early. We buy kraft paper reels in advance for regular customers who confirm a forecast, and hold that price for orders placed before the end of September. After that, quotes follow the current paper market, which in a busy year can be 8 to 15 per cent higher.
Printed boxes need the most lead time. New artwork, a new plate and sample approval take about two weeks before the run even begins. If you plan festive designs, send artwork by mid-August. Finally, plan storage. Corrugated boxes take space and must stay dry and off the floor, especially if the monsoon lingers into September. If you are short of space, we can hold finished boxes for regular customers and deliver in weekly lots from our Vatva shed.
