Age limits, short turns, breaks and what we do if a player feels dizzy: the questions parents ask most.

Parents ask us about VR more than anything else, and the questions are fair ones. Here is how we run the bays and why.
We set the minimum age at 10, following the headset maker’s guidance, and children under 14 need an adult with them on the premises. Some younger children ask to try; we say no, politely, every time.
We keep first turns short. A first session is 30 minutes, with a staff member watching the screen from outside the bay. Some people, adults as well as children, feel a little dizzy or queasy in VR, especially in games where you move without walking. We start everyone on games where you stand still or walk naturally, and we stop the session at once if a player says they feel unwell. They sit in the lounge with water until they feel fine, and we do not charge for unused time.
The bays are padded and 4 × 4 metres, with a guardian boundary set inside the walls so players see a grid before they reach the edge. Face covers are wiped and swapped between players, and controllers have wrist straps.
We are not health experts. If your child has a condition that light or motion affects, ask your doctor before booking. Otherwise, a short turn with a watchful adult is a good way to see whether VR suits them at all.
