A fireworks quote without a site visit is a guess. Within Pune and PCMC our site visit is free, and it usually takes forty minutes.
We start where the guests will stand and walk to where we would fire from. We measure the clear zone with a wheel, look up for wires, tree branches and terraces, and note which way the evening wind usually blows. We ask the venue manager where the fire extinguishers are, where the nearest water point is and how vehicles will move during the show.
We also time the moment. For a varmala we sit with the planner and the photographer to agree the cue. For a society show we check where children and older residents can sit to see well while staying behind the barricade.
Within two days you get a written plan: a sketch of the site, the safety zone, the effects in firing order, the number of technicians and the fixed price. If you change the venue, we visit again. That plan is also what goes to the police station and the hall with your permission papers.
