Ordering from us for the first time

Many of our customers have ordered from us for twenty years. If you are new, here is how it works, so there are no surprises in Vishu week.

Start by sending your list on WhatsApp, or ask for our price list and mark what you want. You can also visit the counter at Kacheripady and pick boxes off the shelf. Either way, we send back an estimate with every item, quantity and price, and the delivery charge if any. Nothing is final until you confirm. Once you confirm, pay by UPI to the number on the estimate. For orders above ₹10,000, we ask for half in advance and the rest on delivery. We then pack and photograph the order and send you the photo.

Delivery depends on where you are. Within Kochi corporation, orders above ₹2,500 go free in our own van; elsewhere in Ernakulam the charge is ₹150 to ₹300. Outside the district we send by lorry, share the receipt on WhatsApp, and you collect from the transport office, usually in three to four days. We sell only to adults, so someone over 18 must receive the order.

Check the carton when it arrives, before you sign. Store it closed, in a dry room away from the kitchen and the lamp, and out of children’s reach. Plan the order early: our van slots for the two days before Vishu usually fill by the Wednesday of that week, and the last date for lorry orders is ten days before the festival.
