Questions about your day, a pulse check and plain advice. No rush.

Many people come to Thanal expecting a quick prescription. An ayurvedic consultation is slower than that, and it is meant to be.
The doctor begins with questions that may seem unrelated to why you came: when you wake, what you eat and when, how you sleep, your digestion, your work and how the season affects you. In ayurveda, these daily patterns matter as much as the complaint itself.
Then comes the examination. The doctor will feel your pulse at the wrist, look at your tongue, eyes and skin, and may ask you to describe your appetite and energy at different times of day. This builds a picture of your constitution, or prakriti, and your present state.
Finally, you receive advice in plain words: changes to diet and routine, and, if suitable, a plan of therapies with the number of sessions and fees in writing. You can take it home and decide.
Please bring your existing reports and the list of any medicines you take. Ayurveda works alongside your other doctors, and our doctors will never ask you to stop a prescribed medicine.
