Tiles, adhesive, waterproofing, labour and fittings, priced out for a typical Jaipur apartment bathroom at three budget levels.

A bathroom renovation is one of the most common projects we quote for, and the first question is always the budget. Here is a worked example for a 6 × 8 ft bathroom with walls tiled to 7 ft, based on prices in Jaipur in 2026.
The floor is 48 sq ft and the walls, after subtracting the door, about 170 sq ft. With wastage, that is roughly 240 sq ft of tile. A modest finish, with plain matt floor tiles and glazed wall tiles, costs about ₹14,000 for tiles. With handmade cement tiles on the floor and our handmade-look glazed tiles on the walls, about ₹38,000.
Then come the hidden costs. Breaking out an old floor and walls and removing debris: ₹8,000 to ₹12,000. Waterproofing the floor and the lower walls of the shower: about ₹6,000. Adhesive, grout and spacers: about ₹5,000. Labour for a good fitter: ₹60 to ₹90 per sq ft, so ₹15,000 to ₹22,000. Plumbing changes, if pipes are moved, add ₹10,000 or more.
Fittings vary the most. A basic set of basin, WC, mixer, shower and accessories starts around ₹35,000. Our brass-body fittings with a counter basin and vanity come to ₹85,000 to ₹1,20,000. In total, a basic bathroom comes to about ₹90,000, a mid-range one ₹1,60,000, and one with handmade tiles and better fittings ₹2,25,000 or more. Send us your plan for an exact figure.
