Who we are
Cotton yarn spun to count, cone after cone.
Ilavam began in 1991 with 6,000 spindles on the Omalur road. Today we run 62,400 spindles and 48 airjet looms, buy cotton bale by bale from Gujarat and Telangana, and test every lot before it leaves the gate.
Combed, carded and dyed cotton yarn from Ne 20s to 80s, and grey fabric from our own looms. A lot sheet with our own readings travels with every lot. Our buyers visit ginneries from October to March and check staple length and micronaire on every lot. Ask for the cotton report with your quote.

What we stand for
Three things we will not change
Tested, lot by lot
Every lot is tested for count, strength and evenness, and the report goes out with the invoice.
Cotton we can trace
We buy from 22 ginneries we visit every season, so we can tell you where a lot was grown.
People who stay
Most of our 640 workers live within 10 km of the mill, and two-thirds have been with us for over five years.
