A week-by-week timeline for a first bulk order of 1,000 pieces, with the approvals we need from you and where delays usually happen.

For a brand placing its first order with us, the hardest thing to judge is time. Here is a typical timeline for 1,000 crew-neck T-shirts in two colours, from the day you send a tech pack to the day the cartons leave for Chennai port.
Week one: we review the tech pack, ask questions and send a costing. Week two: the proto sample is made in our pattern room in about ten days and couriered to you. Allow a week for your comments. Weeks four to five: we make a fit sample with your corrections, and if needed a second. Meanwhile, we send lab dips for your colours and order trims, which take about three weeks for woven labels.
Week six: we make a size set, one piece in each size, for your final approval. Once you approve it, along with the lab dips and the pre-production sample from the actual bulk fabric, we issue the fabric order. Knitting, dyeing and compacting take about three weeks.
Weeks nine to twelve: fabric arrives and is tested for shrinkage and colour fastness, then cut, sewn, checked inline, finished and packed. Week thirteen: final audit by our team or your inspector, and shipment. In all, about 13 weeks, or 45 days from fabric approval. The delays we see most often come from late comments on samples, trims ordered without final artwork, and colours approved under different light. Our merchandiser sends a weekly status sheet so nothing waits silently.
