From backup to colour grade: where your film is while you wait.

On the night of the wedding, every memory card is copied twice before anyone sleeps: once to a drive in our case and once to the studio. Cards are not formatted until a third copy is safe.
In the first week we send 40 preview photographs. Then our editor watches every minute of footage, usually 30 to 40 hours for a three-day wedding, and marks the moments that matter: vows, a father’s face, a grandmother dancing.
Weeks two and three go into the teaser. Weeks four to eight are the feature film. We cut it to a story, not to a timeline, and choose music to match its pace. Then comes the colour grade, where we match every camera and light so the film looks like one evening, not five.
You see a draft in week eight and can ask for two rounds of changes. Most couples ask for a name spelt differently or a cousin added. The final film arrives in week ten, with a private link and a drive.
