Golden hour lasts about 40 minutes in Udaipur in winter. Here is how to use it.

In December the sun sets in Udaipur a little before 6 pm, and the soft, warm light that makes portraits glow lasts about 40 minutes before it. Most couples do not plan for it, and lose it to a delayed lunch or a long make-up session.
We suggest keeping 30 minutes free between 5 and 5.45 pm on at least one day, ideally the day of the wedding itself. That is enough for portraits of the two of you, and a few with parents, before the evening rituals begin.
The morning works too. Sunrise light on the ghats is cooler and quieter, and the lake is still. A pre-wedding shoot at 6.30 am has fewer tourists and better reflections than one at noon.
At night we work with what is there: diyas, fairy lights, the glow from a stage. We carry one soft light for faces, but we keep it low so guests are not blinded and the film still looks like the evening felt.
Send us your schedule as soon as it is drafted. We will mark the best windows and suggest small changes, like moving the family photographs to before the varmala.
