Planning a family show by budget
What ₹3,000, ₹6,000 and ₹12,000 buy for a house with children.
Most families tell us a budget and the ages of the children, and we build the list from there. Here is roughly how it works out at this season’s prices.
For ₹3,000, our minimum order, you can have ten boxes of sparklers in two sizes, two boxes of flower pots, a box of chakkars, a box of pencils and a 12-shot cake. That is a full evening for two or three children with an adult beside them.
For ₹6,000, add deluxe flower pots, rockets, a 30-shot cake and a 1000 wala for the morning. This is the size most joint families in Madurai and Coimbatore order, often split between two houses.
For ₹12,000, add a 60-shot and a 120-shot cake and let the aerials close the night. Keep the big cakes for the end, when the children are back on the doorstep with an adult.
Whatever the budget, put a third of it into sparklers and flower pots. They are what the youngest children remember.
