Your first order outside Tamil Nadu: the lorry receipt, the office counter and what to check before you sign.

Customers in Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana collect their order from the transport office in their own town, and for many it is the first time. It is simpler than it sounds.
Two days after you pay, we dispatch and send a photo of the lorry receipt on WhatsApp. The receipt, usually called the LR, has a number, the name of the transport company, your town’s office and the number of cartons. Save it. The lorry takes three to six days depending on distance; Bengaluru is often three, Hyderabad and Kochi four or five. The office will usually call the phone number on the receipt when the carton arrives.
At the counter, show the LR number and a photo ID in the name we booked it under. You pay the freight there, normally between ₹250 and ₹600 a carton, in cash or UPI. Before you sign, look at the carton. Our cartons are taped in brown with a printed safety card on top. If the tape is cut, a corner is crushed or the carton feels damp, take photos at the counter and write “received damaged” next to your signature.
Carry the carton upright in the boot or on the floor of an auto, not on a two-wheeler footboard, and keep it away from anyone smoking. At home, open it in daylight, tick off the items against our estimate and tell us within 48 hours if anything is missing.
